Tips for self quarantine
Due to
corona virus outbreak people are staying at home, isolating themselves or are in
quarantine. Experts say that the policy is about physical distancing, not
emotional distancing, so you can stay connected even if you're self isolating
yourself. This is 21st century a world full of technological
advancements. Isolation can make us feel depressed, create anxiety, it can also
increase the risk of health problems such as heart disease, and make stress and
uncertainty harder to handle ( source: Antioxidants and redox signaling ) as
corona-virus makes the isolation already faced by elderly much worse, in our
society most of the elders do not understand technology that much as the
younger people, making isolation harder for themselves, so here are some tips
to stay connected:

Support the
elderly:

Stay in touch.
Lots of people are facing the same struggle so everyone should welcome a text
or a call to stay connected.

Try virtual
socializing if you're working from home, try a coffee break with co-workers or
even a virtual dinner with a friend.
·
You can group
voice call or video call your friends with apps like House party and zoom if
there are more than 4 people.
·
As Instagram and Facebook
are made for socializing, everyone now a days know how to use that. Use these
to talk to your friends.
But sometimes even in isolation you will still want to
be alone and out of all the mess of social media, some of us really need to
understand that isolation is very important obviously at this crucial time, as
well as we need a break from our-lives to function properly.
Talking about break The Earth needs a break more than
humans.
We can also start doing something productive while
sitting at home and know what we are capable of, here are some tips that can
help you out.

Learn a new skill,
it can be sewing, knitting, changing a car tire, drawing , sketching, singing,
dancing, acting, painting etc get creative.
·
Aim to start and finish
books, if you haven't read any start with The forty rules of love, highly
recommend.
·
Redecorate, get
ideas from YouTube and redecorate your room, your bathroom, changing room, your
whole house etc.
·
The fruits you eat
everyday save there seeds plant them and learn some gardening tricks. Make your
garden or balcony beautiful.

Set your cupboard,
kitchen cupboards etc
·
Do work that would
enhance your physical as well as intellectual skills.
·
Clean your house
everyday.
·
Start cooking,
make new recipes everyday.
·
Learn new
languages
·
Sir with your
elders and children, spend sometime together.
·
Start exercising
at home, and have a healthy diet so that I could help you boost your immune
system.
·
Use this
quarantine time to self reflect and get to know yourself.
·
Work on your
goals.
