State, Clerics and Pandemic

Image
(2 mins read) A few weeks ago, one of the most famous religious scholar, Maulana Tariq Jamil was again in news. During the PM Imran Khan’s live telethon on the national television, he had held women of Pakistan responsible for the corona-virus pandemic. This invited a great wave of outrage a cross Pakistan.  It’s not the first time that Tariq Jamil(or any orthodox religious leader for that matter) has blamed the women for bringing in a disaster. Earlier women were responsible for earthquakes and now a pandemic.  Their version of religion starts and ends on women’s bodies but sometimes it serves as a mirror when you realize how women’s bodies have historically been used as a political tool against a whole segment of society.  When Tariq Jamil or any religious/political leader calls women the nation’s daughters and puts the burden of modesty on their shoulders, it’s a reminder that the state has created an idea of womanhood and failing to adhere to that will result in otherness

The 5G Decade

Image
how long will it take before the next-generation mobile network technology (5G) is introduced on a large scale? Beyond faster data transfers and higher bandwidths, the real promise of 5G resides in the 24/7 connectivity of smart devices, automotive solutions, industrial use cases, and smart infrastructure, thus making lifestyles, production and services more digitized. Chinese company Huawei is one of the leading companies working on 5G and it doesn't help that the US-China trade war has caught Huawei in the middle. There are concerns that by shutting out the leading 5G equipment supplier from the North America and European markets, the world may see two different kinds of 5G standards. One set of standards will come from the likes of Ericson and Nokia in Europe and the other from Chinese giants like Huawei. And yet, despite facing widespread opposition from Western governments, Huawei, which is one of China's tech jewels, has a clear lead. Thus far, it has report

How do you understand that you are in love ?

I asked myself this question. It was a period where there was a complete confusion in my head and heart. Then I forced my head to silence, and as if my heart spoke. My heart asked questions: “Have you ever cried on the shoulder of a man?” But that was not enough.you know that tears for a man are a great deal. My heart asked: “Has any man cried in your arms?” My heart said, think about the most lonely, most helpless and the most difficult moments of your life. “Who was with you when you turned your head?” “Who helped you to get up when you fell?” “Outside of your family, who are you afraid to lose in this life?” “Whose sight do your hands turn to against your will?” When your eyes avoid his eyes.Your hands are trembling, wanting to touch his hands against your will. The mesmerizing moment can only be felt. The unity of souls is earthshaking, but the touch is also meaningful .It’s very significant how your heart beats when you touch his hand. Every time, you see him or even when

Cheating is a choice or a mistake?

Does monogamy lead to infidelity or its the nature of humans to cheat on their partners?? Marriages don't fall apart because couples get bored. One cheats or they fail because of the choices they make when they first meet someone. Their conscious mind pretends to be a fictional person that they feel will be liked by the other partner. But a fiction can only last a flurry of air. When it’s gone, as it can’t last forever, things hit back to normal, making us think that maybe that’s who the person was while they were dating; but then they change afterwards? That fictional act changes our reaction to how we deal with the partner but their actions do not match how they deal with the union/partnership. This leads to the failed marriages and break ups. One thing which is for sure is that people don’t change, at least not in any way that really matters; our fictional image blurs out with time, springing out the reality. So basically, loyalty doesn't depend either on good/bad lo

What your girlfriend/boyfriend is stealing from your teenage?

We all fantasize love and love has a completely different meaning for all of us.  The idea of love we all have during our early age is a really strong idea and we all tend to comply by the fact that we have to "live together and die together". People who are generally soft hearted by their humanly nature tend to love in a very precise manner and we can definitely identify a pattern in their beliefs. "Love is unconditional" and "I can't live without him/her" are some of the very mainstream beliefs found across. We are really sincere and we know to live by our words of commitment, but if we stick to what we believe and don't even consider new things and new ideas, we are definitely trapped in a fixed mindset. If we welcome new ideas and reflect upon them, we can say that we possess a growth mindset. Well, the new idea here is; Time and Energy are the two things which are the most valuable resources of human life and these are the two things whi

Timeline

Wherever you are right now is exactly where you need to be. Billions of people cannot do everything in exactly the same order. We are all different with different goals and mindsets. Some get married early, some get married late, while others don't get married at all.  What is early? What is late? Compared with whom? Compared with what? Some want a successful career, others enjoy taking care of a house and children, some want both. I have seen people who graduated at 22 and didn't get a salary job until they were 26. I know people who graduated at 25 and already had a salary job. I know people who run their business at the age of 20, I know people who tried really hard but still couldn't do it till they were in their late 30s. I know people who are married or in a relationship and love someone else, I know people who love each other and are not together. There are people waiting to love and be loved. There is perfect timing for everything. So don't beat yourself up fo
